I got into purchasing gold and silver through private sales over the past year. I purchased all the lab equipment including a forge to refine silver and gold. It did cost a bit of money but the science of refining was very appealing. I’ve yet to refine any of my gold but I’ve refined silver via chemicals and then using an electrolysis process ending up with about a kilo of crystallized silver. Would anyone be able to tell me if the purified silver has a higher than spot price value and what could it be used for?

Hi, This is a commercial issue rather than process. Commercially Fine Silver would be 99.9% pure. An unfamiliar refiner will probably not be able to sell metals above the spot prices, even if his metal is 99.99%. You should melt the crystals and produce shot in order to be able to move it forward. Pls attach sime pictures of your setup and metals.
